Contains information pertaining to the following military unit and organization: Prisoner of War Camp -- OFLAG 64. General description of the collection: The World War II prisoners of war Oflag 64 papers include donations from survivors of German Prisoner of War (POW) Camp (OFLAG 64) and an oversized scrapbook of clippings, announcements, and correspondence all relating to OFLAG 64 and its veteran membership. Also, included are numerous files of organizational correspondence through 1980's and 1990's; an example of a camp "newspaper" POWs maintained; Zoltan Takacs' diary (Jan-Jul 1945); his itinerary from OFLAG 64, Szubin, Poland, to Usedom; and text of a 15 Nov 1955 address by Paul Marable reflecting on his experiences as a POW (1944-1945).
